So any difference between wire and wireless? Here take example by IR Extender.

The picture is wireless IR Extender. One set ir extender contain a wireless transmitter and a wireless receiver, what the difference between this device with wireless hdmi video transmitter is ir extender just for extending the ir signal wirelessly. This unit no need to connect with any device by cable except plug, so it can be used with USD/HDMI/RCA/SDI.....any type of device.  Just place the receiver at the signal source need to be extension, and remote control at transmitter end. Transmission range up to 200 meter at open space.

The picture is wire IR Extender, this unit need to connect with tv or set top box by USB cable, but it just for getting power, also it could be connected with Plug for getting power. But please noticed: the small one dot is receiver and the big one is transmitter. Use method: USB Jack connect with Set Top Box for getting power, and the receiver dot stick at the set top box end, remote control the transmitter dot. 

As for wireless IR Extender, between transmitter and receiver the distance could be 200meter, but wire IR Extender distance is limit since the cable, so it’s depends on your requirements and installation method.

After seeing a lot of poor reviews I was skeptical this would work but decided to give it a shot. To my delight it actually works very well. I have a LCD TV mounted on a wall in the garage with a receiver located across the garage in another corner that drives speakers mounted in the ceiling. I wired the digital audio output over to the receiver to listen to the TV audio through the speakers. It was a pain pointing the remote over my shoulder to change the volume across the room. This extender worked great. Now I can point the remote in the direction of the TV and let the extender transmit the signal across the room and control the receiver. The distance is about 20 ft between the extender transmit and receiver. The distance from the remote control to the extender transmitter is about 10ft. Everything work flawlessly, no delay whatsoever. I'm very happy with this and would recommend it to a friend.

　　 This is achieved wireless without all the hassle of running additional cabling around the house and with the right conditions can work up to 300 meters range. A lot of home equipment, from routers to Bluetooth devices, use the 2.4GHz frequency band but this system uses the 5.8GHz ISM frequency band which is less prone to interference from other equipment and also offers better transmission quality – a bit like a dual band router does. 

　　It has a number of different selectable channels within the band so you may just need to find the one that works best in your location – a simple procedure.

　　　　This av sender is easy to setup. The back panels on the transmitter and receiver are clearly labeled, which makes setup easy. You simply connect the transmitter unit to the set top box and the receiver unit to the TV or monitor, you will be viewing on using the supplied cables. The Transmitter unit in effect becomes a mini TV transmitter and the Receiver unit becomes a TV tuner and works exactly the same way as your local TV transmitter in miniature.

Wireless IR Extender for Satellite Receiver

Wireless IR Extender also named wireless infrared remote extender or IR Reapter, some one also call it IR Sender, it’s just extend infrared signal, can not transmit av signal.

Example: PAKITE PAT-433 is Wireless IR Extender with 200 meter extension range at open space. PAKITE PAT-433 is wireless transmission, no need to connect any cable with device.

Connection method:

1.Transmitter placed at tv end,

2.Receiver place at above tv box.

PS :

1. Receiver indicate light and tv box infrared indicate light was in the line, if this condition no need connect IR cable again.

2. Receiver was hiding in other place, IR cable was connect with Receiver end, and IR Cable has a sticker should be stick at tv box infrared indicate light.

3. If you need connect many device turn on/off at the same times, you need to order many transmitter with one receiver.

The Digital Wireless AV Transmitter Kit is a wireless and IR extender solution comprising an audio video receiver and an audio video transmitter. Unlike less expensive solutions, the PAKITE product does not require line of site between transmitter and receiver, so will work through walls and between floors. The transmitter has two groups AV inputs, 8 groups of selectable AV channels output and a IR extender, which can be set to 38KHz or 56KHz.

Some questions comes up with wireless av sender systems, so this paragraph is for expound IR remote control function.

1: Why I need the Sender & Receiver with IR Remote Control? I have tv controller, I can change channels at tv end.

First, Why need IR Remote Control function? if you wanna change channels at tv end, you have to use PAKITE PAT-220 with IR Remote Control. Normally, we settle tv and set top box in the same room, so we can control at the tv end. but actually, you are not control tv, you are control set top box, if set top box and tv in the different room, you will find can not change channels at tv end, if you use Wireless AV Sender with IR Remote, then you can.

2. How do you control A/V devices from another room (e.g. change the channel on your cable box)? That’s where the IR extender comes in.

The IR extender is a cable that plugs into the PAKITE transmitter and has one blocks on it. You will find a blocks marked IR, and please noticed stick the IR cable in front of the device’s(DVD/STB and so on) infrared light. Then when you point the device’s own remote at the PAKITE receiver unit, which is connected to the IR extender, you can operate the device just as if you were pointing the remote at it directly.

We suggest wireless av sender with ir remote control (like PAT-220/PAT-530)for tv user, since end user need change channels at tv end, wireless av sender without ir remote control (like PAT-330/PAT-360) for cctv camera user. PAKITE would provide the best choice with low cost to clients.
