How to distinguish model PAT-330 and model PAT-220 | PAKITE

Article from: How to distinguish model PAT-330 and model PAT-220

PAT-220 av sender is typical and popular model, it support 150 meter transmission range and support IR Remote control. But the retail price is a little high for some of end user since the freight. At that time, PAT-330 has the same feature with PAT-220, but PAT-330 do not support IR Remote control, so the unit price is much cheaper then PAT-220, then some of clients would order PAT-330. But finally, the product is works well, but since no IR Remote control, so their have to exchange another model.

Transmitter and receiver as below, but no one can distinguish it’s belongs to transmitter or receiver.

But if you already get the product, you can check behind of both transmitter and receiver has serial number, the first three is model No. Like 330 or 220. So you can recognize this unit belongs to which model.

We need pay more attention about wireless product before make order,  and double check with seller, or you will loss one way freight at least.

How to Avoid Distortion in A/V Transmitters

300 meter wireless HDMI TV sender

An audio / video transmitter, or AV transmitter, is a wireless device that sends audio and video signals from one device to another. The simplest explanation of how it works is to think of a TV signal, but on a far smaller scale. Instead of the TV station transmitting a signal to everyone who has a TV aerial, the transmitter sends a signal only to a specific receiver. Using this type of equipment allows one to send an audio/video signal from one device to another without needing to run a cable between rooms or equipment. Simply connect the transmitter to one device and the receiver to another.
As with all wireless signals, one can experience distortion or signal loss. This is aggravated by factors such as objects blocking the signal and a loss of line of sight. Loose connections, or poor signal can further complicate matters. Poor signal can be the result of issues like low quality hardware, damaged devices, or other faults. In order to minimize distortion one should shop carefully, doing adequate research through customer and expert reviews. Consumers must understand which specifications to look for in audio/video transmitters. AV transmitters are available from electronics stores or online.
Unfortunately, AV sender have not evolved to the level where they are readily compatible with HD devices. In addition, they are never completely wireless and need a main source of power to function. They have to be plugged in and switched on to work. While wireless technology is convenient and fast, coaxial cable connections give consistently better results. However, fixed cabling systems may be unsightly, more expensive, and impractical.

How Audio/Video Transmitters Work

Connecting a wireless AV sender to a TV, DVD player, or other AV device turns the device into a broadcaster of video and audio signals. Connecting an AV receiver to another device within range turns that device into a receiver that is able to decode the signal sent out by the transmitter. Audio and video signals can be transmitted throughout one's home and some AV transmitters even allow one to change channels from a distance. However, one may need a remote control extender for this function. Installation is usually simple. Antennas are normally built into the sending and receiving units and all that is required is connecting the cable to the correct jack or connection. AV signals are usually transmitted via wideband FM (frequency modulation) signals that may help minimize interference from other transmitters.
The best way to avoid distortion in wireless video transmitter is to choose the right sender based on specifications and reviews. Specifications include the frequency it broadcasts on, the range it covers, and the type of antenna the device has.

Broadcast Frequencies

Many AV transmitters broadcast signals in the 2.4 GHz frequency band. Unfortunately, this is also the band used by 802.11b and g Wi-Fi devices, as well as microwave ovens, cordless phones, and a number of other consumer electronics. These devices can cause interference, which leads to distortion and signal degradation. Transmitters that broadcast on a different frequency, like 5.8 GHz, are far less prone to distortion caused by interference.
Some transmitters feature adjustable frequencies (or channels) to allow users to find the best settings with the least amount of interference and distortion. The transmitter and receiver must be on the same channel for the set to work effectively. Where reception is poor or there is a large amount of interference one can adjust the channel to eliminate interference from other electrical devices. Some devices, like microwave ovens, may cause interference on all channels. If buying a transmitter that works on a higher frequency is out of the question, the simple solution to this problem is to use only one device at a time.

Broadcast Range and Signal

As with most wireless devices, AV transmitters rely on line of sight for clear, strong signals. One should always place the transmitter and receiver in open, uncluttered, unobstructed areas where the sender and receiver can "see" each other. In other words, the two devices should be in each other's line of sight. To better understand this, think of listening to the radio while driving. The moment one enters a tunnel or drives between high hills or mountains, the car's radio antenna loses line of sight with the radio station's sender and the signal cuts out or distorts.
Some transmitters are marked with the maximum range over which signals can be transmitted without obstructions between the sender and receiver. These are often somewhat optimistic, but can be used as a guideline for comparison nevertheless. Few homes are obstruction-free over the distances quoted by manufacturers, but some may wish to broadcast signals to rooms or areas outside the house. Some units are designed for outside use, with waterproof coverings and a more robust design. These transmitters boast range distances of up to 20 times that of indoor transmitters, but the range drops off significantly the moment an obstruction is encountered.

Antenna Types

The majority of transmitter types come with built-in antennas, but some transmitters feature adjustable antennas. These may need to be adjusted to find the best signal, or realigned to eliminate distortion. Where one is using more than one sender or receiver, antennas may need to adjusted every time one swaps between devices.

Using Customer and Expert Reviews to Choose an AV Transmitter

In addition to taking the factors above into consideration when choosing an av sender, one should also do research by reading customer and expert product reviews. Customer reviews should, in some cases, be taken with a grain of salt as people are more inclined to post about negative experiences than they are about positive ones. However, this can be read in conjunction with expert reviews to see how devices perform in real life situations, and how the features and benefits highlighted by manufacturers compare during day-to-day use.

Meeting video sender

What is a video sender?

Video senders (also known as AV senders) allow you to send TV signals around your home without wires. They use radio waves to send the signals, and you need a transmitter and a receiver.
wireless tv sender receiver with IR Remote control
They can transmit over fairly short distances, through walls, although if you’re trying to transmit through several walls, or over a long distance, they can be less effective.

How do they work?

Connect the output of a set-top box, DVD player or other video source into a transmitter(AV Cable) . Then connect the receiver to your second TV (AV Cable). Signals are sent over the air.

Where do I get a video sender?

For a wide range of wireless senders, check out PAKITE Wireless AV Sender
I’m getting interference. What can I do?
Most models of Video Sender allow you to change channels, so’s not to cause interference. Try changing the channel both at the transmitter and receiver end, and trying again.

Some of message like this: my tv or satellite receiver do not have AV Jack, only HDMI & USB or TV jack, so what should I do? Could you give me best solution?
For this condition, I have to say if no AV jack, it definitely can not work, and no good solutions. So before ordered, we have to double check both satellite receiver and television.

Some of message like this: I had order PAT-220, but now I need connect second tv at the second floor, could you give me your suggestion?
For this condition, You may need to order model PAT-260 if you need connect with two set television at difference floor. PAT-220 can not workable at difference floor normally. Besides, PAT-260 receiver is workable with PAT-220 transmitter, but the transmission distance should be depend on the short one, please noticed.

Wireless TV Sender Receiver Choosing Guide Review

Wireless TV sender ( also called wireless av sender ) is an affordable and no-fuss solution to the problem of connecting all the TVs in a home to the household's primary set-top box or DVD player. With a AV sender, there is no need to run cables from room to room. The buyer can now watch clear audio and video reception on any television in the house from the comfort of any room. You should keep in mind that 5.8 GHz AV senders provide less signal interference and better picture quality than 2.4 GHz AV senders.

I bought this wireless tv sender because I couldn't see renting another cable box for my home office. I've ended up using it around the house as well. I hooked it to my DVR and now can watch recorded shows anywhere in the house. I wish I could just buy additional receivers and I would set it up permanently, but the hook up is still extremely easy and the boxes are very light and small. You do have to use the remote that runs whatever its hooked too, so periodically I forget where I've left the remote to the DVR .But it also limited by channel selection when using TV senders. Only one television channel can be viewed and transmitted at a time. Currently, there are no solutions available for this limitation. However, one should consider this to be only a minor limitation that does not detract from the convenience of being able to watch the same TV program on two different TV screens in two different locations in the home.

More useful guides from CNBgear electronics tech website:

The picture and sound is surprising good. A small TV is perfect, for my 36 inch TV if you get close you can see the difference, but step a few feet back and it looks just fine. It doesn't like the microwave, lots of popping and crackling. Sometimes it crackles when someone walks directly in front of the receiver. A couple times I've had more troublesome interference, but was corrected by changing to another channel on the transmitter and receiver. (it has 4).

You can find a wide selection of wireless av transmitter and receiver on Pakite,  including 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz frequency band, transmission range from 150m to 700m.There is always one is suitable for you!

Good news: PAKITE hdmi wireless transmitter with hdmi jack is coming soon, and the wireless tv transmitter hdmi is used for the TV device with hdmi port. Waiting for your inquiry about the hdmi wireless transmitter.

How to improve the sense of experience?

How to improve the sense of experience, it’s a big question for Chinese supplier, some times description is abstract, if clients can review it by himself that will be better.

We are a factory of wireless av sender, all of questions about products will be feedback to us, and we received many defective product from our dealer. QC Department test the defective goods one by one, but we found over 85% product is perfect, so why clients return us the perfect goods?

Following the comments is from buyer on Amazon: “
1. The procedure is quite simple; Plug in the transmitter and switch it on, connect your video and audio cables, plug your receiver in, connect audio and video leads, and then whatever source you select on the transmitting TV is duplicated on the receiving TV. It's a fantastically simple idea but one that works really well.

This parts is for explain how to use the wireless av sender, very simple to use if you can operation by yourself, but if need explain by words will be much complicated.

Chart above, the Audio Video Transmitter connect with Set Top Box

Chart above, the Audio Video Receiver connect with TV

   2. Its important to make sure that the same wireless frequency is selected on both units, if you have interference you can select a different frequency to avoid interference from, say, your home network or wireless doorbell etc. A digital display is on both units.

The second parts, both transmitter and receiver in the same channel is default setting, if clients change the channels of transmitter, pls the receiver need change into the same channel, if didn’t then av sender cann’t transmit audio video, it’s very important.

transmitter receiver channel setting

3. The included remote lead is supposed to allow you to use the TV remote on the other TV but most TVs these days have built in remotes so I couldn't actually see the point of this, maybe I am missing something?

Most of clients didn’t use TV and set top box at different rooms, so their think “I can change channels at TV end, no need ir remote control.” I will tell you it’s wrong. In our daily life we change channels by the controller of set top box,not TV controller, right? So the fact is we are control the set top box not TV, if possible you can try to set TV and TV box at different rooms, test you can change channels at TV end or not.

   4. The picture and sound reproduction is very good and clear. It's not only live TV that can be transmitted, it works for any source, eg set-top box, dvd player, Apple TV etc.”

Yes, it’s real time wireless av sender(what is it?) , no latency. Besides, our wireless av sender can transmit both digital audio video and analog audio video.

In the above comments, the clients order Model PAT-5565.8ghz frequency band ; 300meter transmission range at open space;support 38/56khz frequency of ir remote control. If any questions, welcome contact with PAKITE as free.

Good news: PAKITE hdmi wireless transmitter with hdmi jack is coming soon, and the wireless video transmitter hdmi is used for the TV device with hdmi port. Waiting for your inquiry about the hdmi wireless transmitter.
